Lucinda Nicholls
Lucinda Nicholls is a versatile soprano with a diverse background as a soloist, chorister, and contemporary vocalist. She completed her classical voice studies at the University of Western Australia under the esteemed soprano Sara Macliver, graduating with First Class Honours. Lucinda has performed with prominent ensembles, including The Giovanni Consort, Irwin Street Collective, Perth Symphony Orchestra, and Black Antlers, and has received critical acclaim as a soloist with St George’s Cathedral Consort.
As an award-winning songwriter, Lucinda has had the opportunity to record at London's prestigious Abbey Road Studios. In 2021, she founded Bellaluce, a collaborative ensemble dedicated to exploring classical and contemporary chamber music repertoire for soprano and cello. Lucinda was honoured to be selected as a Festival Lab Emerging Artist for Perth Festival in 2022 and privileged to perform as a soloist alongside Artistic Director Iain Grandage.
Lucinda's dedication to her artistry, combined with her passion for collaboration, has contributed to her achievements in the world of classical music and beyond. She remains grateful for these opportunities and continually aspires to be a motivating presence within Australia's creative community.
