She has been a cornerstone of Perth’s jazz scene, holding a remarkable 17-year residency with the Ali Bodycoat Trio and a 13-year tenure at The Ellington Jazz Club with her Quartet. A regular feature at major festivals, Ali has performed at the Perth International Jazz Festival, Perth Festival, and Fringe Festival, as well as with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and Perth Symphony Orchestra. Ali has also created, co-created, written, and starred in multiple award-winning shows, including Minor Major Marlene, From Bodycoat to Barbra, Over the Rainbow, and Bringing Back Bacharach.
