Ali Bodycoat

Ali Bodycoat is one of Western Australia's most celebrated jazz vocalists, with a career spanning over 25 years in the music industry. She has been a cornerstone of Perth’s jazz scene, holding a remarkable 17-year residency with the Ali Bodycoat Trio and a 13-year tenure at The Ellington Jazz Club with her Quartet. Her collaborations and performances across multiple ensembles have solidified her reputation as an unrivalled force in the local jazz landscape.

A regular feature at major festivals, Ali has performed at the Perth International Jazz Festival, Perth Festival, and Fringe Festival, as well as with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and Perth Symphony Orchestra. Her artistry and dynamic stage presence have made her a sought-after performer across Western Australia and beyond.

Ali has also created, co-created, written, and starred in multiple award-winning shows, including Minor Major Marlene, From Bodycoat to Barbra, Over the Rainbow, and Bringing Back Bacharach. Her ability to channel the spirit of legendary vocalists, combined with her deep connection to storytelling through music, has earned her critical acclaim.
