Madeleine Antoine
Madeleine Antoine is a classical and contemporary violinist based in Boorloo (Perth). She began playing the violin at age six, and has never looked back. Madeleine played her first concerto when she was 9 years old, and received a music scholarship at Methodist Ladies College (MLC) in Perth, Western Australia where she achieved the highest ATAR score in her year for music in Western Australia. Madeleine graduated from the WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2010 with a Bachelor in Classical music performance, where she was placed on the Dean's Honour Roll. She continued her studies at the Prague Conservatory of Music and at The University of Western Australia.
She is a member of the Perth Symphony Orchestra (PSO) and INNEKA and she has toured with orchestras throughout Canada, China and Europe. Madeleine has performed with Sir Rod Stewart, Michael Bublé, Olivia Newton-John and Eskimo Joe. She has performed as soloist at many events including the Red Cape Ball, The Art Gallery of Western Australia's 'Art Ball' and the opening of the WA Museum Boola Bardip.
Madeleine creates original music with her bands Selfless Orchestra and Baba! Yaga!, and as a solo artist. She is a passionate advocate for social rights and environmental justice.
